Ingredients

Adjust Servings:
2 cups Pilau Rice - Cooked and cooled
2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil
1/2 medium sliced Brown/White Onion
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/8 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
1/8 teaspoon Coriander Powder
1 very finely sliced Lemon Peel
1.5 tablespoons Lemon Juice
1/4 cup Fresh/Chopped Coriander

Made using pre-cooked basmati rice this lemon pilau is the perfect accompaniment to any dish. Perfectly flavoured with lemon and spices this goes great with a wrap as well as your favourite curry dish

Made using pre-cooked basmati rice this lemon pilau is the perfect accompaniment to any dish. Perfectly flavoured with lemon and spices this goes great with a wrap as well as your favourite curry dish

Heat the oil on high in a non stick, high sided pan and add the finely sliced onions. Fry for a couple of minutes until they just start to brown

Add the salt, turmeric and cumin powder, stir through and cook for 30 seconds

add the lemon peel and lemon juice, stir through then add the rice. Cook stirring for 2-3 minutes to ensure the rice is piping hot

just before removing from the pan add 1/2 of the fresh coriander and stir though and serve topped with the remaining fresh coriander
