Ingredients

2 cups Pilau Rice - Cooked and cooled

3 tablespoons Vegetable Oil

1/2 medium sliced Brown/White Onion

1 clove Grated Garlic

1/2 teaspoon Salt

1 teaspoon Fenugreek Leaves (Kasoori Methi)

6 sliced finely Mushrooms

1 teaspoon Mix Powder / Curry Powder
Directions
Made using pre-cooked basmati rice this mushroom pilau is the perfect accompaniment to any dish. Perfectly flavoured with spices and garlic you can even eat this dish on its own.

Heat the oil on high in a non stick, high sided pan and add the finely sliced onions. Fry for a couple of minutes until they just start to brown |

Add the salt and dried methi, stir through and cook for 30 seconds |

add the garlic, stir through and cook for a further 30 seconds |

add the mushrooms then cook for a couple of minutes stirring gently to ensure they are all coated in the spice mix and get an even cook |

add mix powder, stir through then add the rice. Cook stirring for 2-3 minutes to ensure the rice is piping hot before serving. |

serve topped with sliced green chillies if you want to ramp up the heat. This dish is perfect a a side or a meal on it's own. |
