500ml Plain Yoghurt
2 teaspoon Tandoori Paste (Pataks)
2 teaspoon Tikka Paste (Pataks)
1 teaspoon Kashmiri Paste (Pataks)
1/2 teaspoon Mint Sauce
1 Lemon Juice juice only
1/2 teaspoon Red Food Colouring Powder Beetroot Powder or Food Colour Powder

Used to marinate meat such as chicken tikka and as the base for Tikka Masala dishes

Made using Indian spices and yogurt, this traditional bright red Tikka recipe is both tasty and easy to make. Use it to marinate meat such as chicken tikka and as the base for Tikka Masala dishes.

Add the yoghurt to a bowl

a) If you are just going to make tikka masala curries then add everything and mix in well.
b) If you are marinating meat, for example chicken for chicken tikka do not add the lemon juice until just before you cook the meat as it can make it too soft

Add the colouring and mix well. Add more in 1/2 teaspoon amounts until you get the desired colour

To marinate meat simply cut into chunks, cover with the marinade then refrigerate for between 24-48 hours.
